Katarina Marie Kositzki (b. 1993 in Reading, PA) is an artist living, working and studying in Glasgow, UK. Kositzki is predominantly a lens based artist working with still and moving image but also works with textiles, crafts and site specific sculptural installation.

The tactility of the materials used is an important part of the work she makes, which has led to experimentation with using differently weighted fabrics together to create dialogues between disparate materials.

Kositzki’s work centres around identity within larger communities, and the inner conflict of creating oneself as an individual whilst also being created by the community that surrounds each one of us. It is an enquiry into free will and a dissection of the mores that create us.
